Royalty Free Music
‘In a nutshell Royalty Free Music refers to a type of music licensing that allows the purchaser to pay for the music license only once and to use the music for as long as desired‘- http://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/what-is-royalty-free-music/
This type of music is something that we could consider for our music video, and a set budget would be put into place yet a key thing that would need to be taken into consideration is that depending on the song, and artist that created that song – the price to pay for the licensing can either be high, or low.
Copyright free music
Copyright free music is the opposite to Royalty free music – Copyright free is where a film maker doesn’t have to pay for the rights – but they must state where the music originally came from.
For the Music Video Project the team has agreed to go with Martyn’s idea – to the song ‘Animal I have become’.
The music video is going to be a ‘Narrative one’, and the story is: a man comes home to find that his wife has left him – she has left a note saying that she’ll be back later. The man then leaves trying to wrap his head around his wife’s words – yet he is only spiralling deeper into anger and insanity. Later the man returns home, and he murders his wife.
My contribution, to the project, is writing up the Shooting Schedule. Danielle contribution is the Risk Assessment. Martyn did the Story Boards since he is the one who thought up the idea.
